Our relationships with international financial institutions (IFIs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) place us at a unique juncture to support CSOs in participating in the design and implementation of development projects funded by international donors. We provide capacity building and support for citizen groups and organizations seeking to bridge the gap between development institutions and communities.
This program is a unique monitoring model that aims to provide donors and development agencies with more specific and real-time information on the impact of their projects. By building the capacity of local CSOs to conduct donor project monitoring, CARTA aims to strengthen ownership of outcomes, reduce the propensity of corruption and increase overall citizen engagement.
Through this EU-funded program, Helvetas – Myanmar, the Partnership for Transparency Fund e.V (PTFe.V.), and the Local Resource Centre (LRC) formed a consortium to support local Civil Society Organizations’ participation and influence in the planning, implementation and review of development projects, services delivery and policies at national and sub-national levels for more inclusive and equitable development in Myanmar.
