New PTF Publication About Civil Society Monitoring in the Health Sector

Citizens and civil society organizations (CSOs) play a vital role in ensuring integrity in health service provision. Partnership for Transparency’s new report on civil society monitoring, commissioned by the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre, features PTF’s work in Ghana, India, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Uganda, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. The report reflects on real world examples of CSO engagement in the health sector to improve governance of service delivery and public procurement and reduce corruption. The experiences of PTF in this field over the last 15 years are examined to distill learnings and offer practicable ways for donors supporting CSO activity and CSOs considering third party monitoring of health services delivery.
