EXPERTISE: CIVIL SOCIETY CAPACITY BUILDING; NATURAL RESOURCES; WATER AND SANITATION

Ram Janakiram is a project advisor at Partnership for Transparency and member of the Ukraine e-procurement project team. He has over 35 years of operational experience in the design, implementation, and impact evaluation of World Bank financed projects in infrastructure, irrigation, agriculture and rural development sectors in low to medium income, conflict affected and transition economies, public procurement reforms, empowering rural communities, information and knowledge services, decentralization and improving governance. His work on procurement includes preparing procurement plans, evaluating technical and financial proposals from consultants, contracts – from $500,000 to over $5 million for the procurement of goods, works and services for World Bank financed projects in agriculture, irrigation, rural development and infrastructure projects.

He has a master’s degree in water resources management and agricultural economics from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, USA and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, India.
