Indira Sandilya is a development communication professional, with many years of work experience in India, the Philippines and elsewhere. In India, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), an industry lobby group, she designed communication materials. Subsequently, she helped CII improve workplace communication on HIV/AIDS. Later, at DKT International, a social marketing NGO, she fashioned an extremely successful media strategy for distributing oral contraceptives. She worked in the Philippines as Communication Manager at Conservation International and has been a consultant to World Bank in Afghanistan and Cambodia, and to Asian Development Bank in Bhutan.

With PTF, she mentored CSOs and CBOs in Karnataka to improve social safety net programs. Currently, she heads PTF’s Working Group on Women and Anti-Corruption and serves on the Board of PTF India.
