In 2019, PTF continued to build on the success of past initiatives, and our recognized expertise and leadership in citizen engagement allowed us to undertake new projects and connect with new partners.
Over the course of the past year, PTF worked on projects in: Ukraine, India, the Gambia, Uganda, the Philippines, and Myanmar.
Building on our considerable experience in enhancing the capacity of citizens to monitor e-procurement, PTF secured funding from the European Union (EU) for an infrastructure procurement monitoring project in Malawi. We also embarked on a new partnership with the National Endowment for Democracy. This joint venture aimed to help enhance the abilities of the Anti-Corruption Coalition the Gambia (ACCG) to promote good governance in the emerging democracy. Finally, in India we partnered with the India Development and Relief Fund (IDRF) to implement the next phase of our Health Transparency Initiative, as well as a new operation to combat gender-based violence.
All our operations are implemented in close cooperation with, or under the leadership of our regional affiliates in East Asia, India, Africa, and Europe.
