As the Mongolian legal system goes through rapid reform, there is acute need in training existing staff on the new legislation and good practices in other countries. In this sense, the trainings organized by TI-Mongolia were very much welcomed, exceeding the impact anticipated. For instance, TI-M proposed to train senior staff and/or trainers of police, but the management has gone further by covering by this training, all deputy chiefs of all police departments, In other words, the training for police was organized on a national level. Legal reforms are under consideration by the parliament during this spring session. We are sure that the trainings held had played a crucial role in formulating of these laws.

For the first time in 22 years, the National Legal Academy has made a training conducted by an NGO to be mandatory for the legal staff covered by the training. The trainers for training prosecutor/trainers and investigators, were professionals in their respective fields, they have managed to train the attendees in such a manner, that cases were resolved by groups formed by prosecutors and investigators and results discussed with active participation of all attendees.
