The aim of the project was to promote transparency of property rights in Albania and to increase public understanding of the legal framework regulating property rights and the violations and shortfalls of this framework caused by corruption. The project also developed a tool to monitor the implementation of the legal framework. This tool was piloted by the project and made operational on a larger scale. Data were collected on public perceptions of corruption of property rights. The project drew on the experience of NGO’s and responsible officials at central and local levels as well.
